Chain Link

Residential Chain Link Fencing

Residential chain link fencing is typically a lighter grade material since heavy use is not expected. It provides a good cost/use ratio. It is suitable for most home fencing applications providing a simple but effective barrier and property delineation. Typical residential fencing is using 12.5 ga chain link fence fabrics, 1 5/8" diameter line posts with 1 3/8" top rail. D&C sets all posts in concrete footings for strength. A residential grade chain length fence typically comes in three heights depending on your use, 4', 5', or 6'. Residential gates are typical bent frame gates that are pre made to fit certain openings. However, it is no problem for chain link fence contractors like D&C to use its fabrication shop to weld a custom size or for more discretionary buyers to desire a heavier duty welded frame gate for their chain link fence installation. Typical terminal and corner posts for residential grade chain link is 2 /38" od posts set in 24" concrete footings.

Chain Link Options

Vinyl Covered Chain Link Fencing

One option that allows for a lot more custom look and actually really looks great for landscape and design, yet still offers great security is vinyl covered chain link fences. Typically for chain fences you may want to have installed an all galvanized chain link fence but choose to use a color coated fence fabric. This does not alter the chain link fence price very much yet looks great. D&C offers many choices on color, most typical are green, black, and white. If you would really like to get an even better custom look you can choose to have all the posts, top rail, and fittings vinyl coated as well. This system is available in all grades of chain link. Make sure you ask about the different grades of vinyl coating as well. There is typical light grade vinyl coating that is over laid on chain link fabric and for a lot longer lasting there is the fuse bonded vinyl coated chain link fence.

Vinyl Privacy Slats and Windscreen Chain Link Fencing

D&C Fence offers a wide variety of chain link fence privacy slats. We have color charts and samples that will fit almost any application for existing fences or new fences installed. Chain link privacy slats come many different ways, from the ribbed less expensive basic slat to the bottom locking slats. They also come in different percentages of privacy offered, from 75 percent to 90 and above privacy style slats.

Windscreen is used to apply to the outside of chain length fence fabric and can be used to help add some privacy as well as to help stop wind flow. It is most commonly used at tennis courts and baseball fields but has definitely been used in many other applications as well. From a business wanting more privacy to a residential house. It also comes in many different colors and can actually have logos or writing applied to screen for more custom look.

Chain Link Add Ons

Barbed Wire

This is a great add on to any commercial or industrial grade chain link fence. Typically this is added to the top of a new fence installed and can be added to existing fences as well. Standard is to install 3 strands of heavy duty class 3 galvanized barbed wire to the top of the new fence using 45 degree barbed arms or vertical barbed arms, whichever is requested.

Razor Ribbon

This is a great option for more added security, basically to do your best to keep your property very secure. Razor ribbon comes in many sizes and grades and is added to the bottom or top of a chain linked fence and is installed in circular patterns. It's razor sharp edges work as a strong deterrent for vandals.
